MarySue strives to keep clients well informed and up to date with all pertinent claim issues. She has implemented firm-wide practices to ensure all client matters are managed in an organized and effective way to ensure clients achieve relief as efficiently as possible.

MarySue graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 2003 with a Bachelor of Arts in political science. After joining McDermott Law, LLC, MarySue began her post-graduate education at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. She achieved a Master of Science in Legal Administration in 2011 and a Juris Doctor with a Certificate in Constitutional Law in 2017. She ranked third in her law school graduating class.

In 2018, she presented to the Inn of Courts and described the complex policy issues of handling disability insurance claims for individuals with mental health disorders. In 2019, she was a Survivor Series/Navigating the Benefits System panelist for the Brain Injury Hope Foundation. She provided information to the survivors concerning ERISA and PERA disability insurance claims.

Outside of practicing law, MarySue's interests involve the great outdoors, music and her family. She spends most of her time on landscaping projects, trail riding in her Jeep, hiking with her hound dogs (Beagle and Basset), sitting around campfires with friends, and fishing with her husband. She enjoys attending concerts and playing musical instruments without any proficiency. She loves driving her Dad's antique John Deere tractors, riding horses, and working with her family on their farm in Kossuth County, Iowa.
